Students & Pastor to The Gathering
I met my wife, Emily, at Cumberland University, and we were married on June 4, 2005. We have two amazing children, Jackson and Madison.
At the age of five, my father and mother moved our family from central Illinois to Lebanon, TN. As a third grader, I felt the call of God to accept Him as my Lord and Savior. Sharing the hope and the truth of a loving God is what drives me to the core of my being. As a senior in high school my faith was tested when my father passed away. The loss of the man that loved me like no other man on Earth was crushing, but the Lord showed true and faithful in those dark days. After graduation, I attended Cumberland University and while in college I served as student pastor at FBC Hartsville and Grace Baptist in Mt. Juliet. I also have served at Hillcrest Baptist in Lebanon before the Lord brought me back to Immanuel. I have received a MA in Christian Leadership from Liberty University.
I was an athlete in high school and a short time in college and enjoy sports. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places. I love all things basketball: coaching, officiating, playing, and watching. I enjoy reading books especially history, leadership, and sports. I love days with my family around the house and out and about doing nothing!
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind.”
